Jewellery Designer/Paper Artist Andrea Carrington

Hello!  my name is Andrea  Carrington I am  the JewelryDesigner/Paper Artist behind Uncarri. Thank you for visiting my website!!  It was through the combination  of my  love for Jewellery making, and my interest  in sustainability/ reducing our carbon footprint,  that Uncarri was born! 

As a teenager I was always looking for costume jewellery that made a statement, I viewed jewellery as an adornment,  and a form, of self expression and I still do now.

  I also had a love for fashion design and printed textiles.   I studied 

 Fashion Design and Printed Textiles (BA Honours),  graduating from Central St Martins in 1999.  Focusing on pursuing a career in Fashion Design and Textiles or another creative avenue.

In 2020, I attended a Quilling Paper Jewellery Workshop, this sparked  my "quilling explosion"!!. 

I felt inspired to create water-resistant jewellery from paper, the creative possibilities that it offered  were endless.

The idea of making and selling my own quilled jewellery didn't occur to me, until I was leading a 

jewellery making quilling workshop in 2019

This was mainly  in response to people asking me , if I had a website  and if they could purchase some pieces. I realized then that there  was a demand for jewelry that is unique, creative. and sustainable! 

Thus, Uncarri was born!!
